Check out my video: https://youtu.be/3lwbdFL-saU My daughter and I went to Queenstown Cafe and had a lovely time. We just missed the brunch menu and we were a little disappointed because we wanted to have the tea sandwiches and the bread that's baked in a flower pot but we loved what we did get which was the New Zealand onion dip with potato chips, Black bean patty vegetarian sliders with skinny fries, and a very delicious decaf oat milk caramel latte. Our waitress was adorable and very attentive. The vibe was very cool and relaxed. Everything was just so pretty there. I guess it was pricey but at the same time it's downtown La Jolla so what do you expect! We loved it. We probably wouldn't go again just because it's something more of a special occasion to go there, but we highly recommend it for your special occasion!

I love the outdoor late lunch vibe. Our server was really nice and patience that was able to answer our questions about the food we can order. I had a rack of lamb which I really love paired with a really refreshing salad, we also ordered the match sticks fries and the shrimp dish they have. My friend requested cosmo as it was not prt of the menu but still able to accommodate. Their barista who made me the drink, matcha with honey and cinnamon in oatmilk is to die for. Another place added to my list as I will for sure come back for more.

Queenstown had excellent service, and if I were reviewing purely on service and atmosphere, it would likely be close to 5 stars. The food was great, but a bit expensive, which is understandable given the rent prices to have an establishment off of prospect in La Jolla. I got one of my all time favorite dishes- steak frites. They call it "steak and fries," which is exactly what I got. They cooked it a nice medium rare. I enjoyed it. My companion and I were given a chance to try their signature dessert- it was like a merengue topped with cream. My friend enjoyed it- I felt that the cream tasted like cool whip. I'd stay away from the desserts and stick to the food. Our servers did such a great job, from food to drinks, and our refills were handled without me even noticing! That's not easy to do. Kudos to pleasant and attentive staff. Overall- this is a solid spot for a special lunch in the heart of La Jolla. It's expensive ($30-50 a person, not including drinks or appetizer). When you come here you are coming for the location, ambience, and service. Cheers!

This is a cool place. Nice in and out, like really nice. Service prompt and attentive. The food was fantastic, but pricey. The happy hour deals are a great bargain. Oh and the drinks, were fantastic we tried several. I hit the place twice. I recommend the hand pies or the burger

The restaurant felt very chic and was nicely decorated on both the exterior and interior with lots of flowers. Located in a busier area of La Jolla, there were very limited street parking options. Both the food and drink menu offered a variety of different options! Overall, the food here was mediocre and a bit overpriced. Soup & Sammie: (3/5) the sammie came with cheese, tomato, and avocado. I was personally hoping for more of a grilled cheese-like sandwich with crispy bread and melty cheese, but instead the bread was soggy underneath and there was not enough cheese to balance out the other components. There were a lot of tomatoes and avocado which made it difficult to dip into the soup without everything falling out. The tomato soup itself had a unique texture, especially with the added pine nuts. It had a good balance of tomato and basil flavor. Hanger Steak: (3.5/5) we ordered the hanger steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked and dissolved in your mouth! The dish overall was a bit bland and under seasoned. We ended up asking for something to go with the steak and potatoes and the waiter ended up bringing a nice chutney out on the side which paired well with the meal and helped give it some more flavor.

Came here for lunch/brunch on a Tuesday afternoon and had a great time! First off, the ambiance and decor draws you in. It's like a secret garden in La Jolla village. Parking can be tough but it's La Jolla and to be expected. Ok, people! They serve brunch until 2!! Even on the weekday! We were so stoked to see brunch menu at 1:30pm. We really enjoyed the cocktails and the chicken salad was great. We will be back to try more of everything! Also, they have a GREAT happy hour! Which is super hard to find these days. They have food and drink specials including mini martinis! This would be a great place for brunch, group, or even just two!

Wow, this is a great brunch place. The decor is beautiful, the seating is comfortable, the customer service is great, and the vibe is excellent. We made a reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server was perfect and very professional. I have to say that as soon as we arrived and walked in, the manager, Ty, welcomed us and that was impressive. We were a party of 6 adults and we all fir very comfortably in a booth. We ordered: 2 Palomas, 1 Irish Coffee, 1 Spritzer, 2 Bloody Marys, a Strawberry Lemonade, 1 coffee and an order of NZ Onion Dip with Homemade Chips for the table. For our main brunch courses: 1 NZ Fish & Chips, 2 Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich Specials with French fries and one with Sweet Potato Fries, 1 Breakfast Fried Rice with scrambled eggs, 1 Hogs & Heifers Burger with fries, and 1 Wagyu Smashburger with Blue Cheese topped Sweet Potato Fries. The manager even came to our table to meet us and he is AMAZING! His every and vibe are awesome!! Thank you Ty!!
